Miss Swimsuit UK: Manchester Heat

Miss Swimsuit UK returned to Manchester on Thursday night for the Manchester heat of the 2017 competition. The glamorous VIVA played host to the event, which saw plenty of celeb guests in attendance.

I didn't manage to catch model Ann Denise Wilson, Christian Burrroughs from X-Factor, or Ampika Pickston and Magali Gorre from Real Cheshire Housewives, Rogan O'Connor from The Dreamboys, Scott Thomas and Emma Jayne from Love Island nor Sarah Goodhart from Ex on the Beach.

The competitors, in their Star Tanning products, took to the stage.

Before the winners were announced we got a cool performance from girl group Limited Edition.

A deserved win and a lovely girl.

I got talking to Sam, who works behind the bar. She told me she'd previously worked on Babestation under the name Keisha. She said she'd shut down all of her social media for a fresh start. Fair enough!

Everyone I spoke to on the night was friendly and cool. The Venue is ideal for the event- smart, stylish and with a good shape for watching a stage.

I had arranged a meetup with Manchester Cool Bars for the swimwear competition, starting in Sugar Buddha. it turned out SB were undergoing a second refurbishment so I changed the venue to Dog Bowl, the bar-and-bowling-alley on the same street. A good starting place for any Witworth St night. A first time for me. A great night.
