The
first public night of The Ivy, the prestigious celeb
venue that started out in Covent Garden, took place on Tuesday night.
I arranged a date there and checked whether I needed guestlist for
drinks. Not for drinks, the girl on the phone said. Great.
Tuesday
night rolls around, and I dart over to meet her- she texts to say
reception have told her she's not allowed in without the person who
'made the booking,' even though I was told I didn't actually have to
book. Odd.
Once
I'm there, though, we're welcomed into the luxurious and notably
green bar area, while funk and house plays quietly in the background.
Delicious
cocktails and, once inside, a lovely atmosphere. Expect a Cool Bars meetup
there in the new year!
