Talking Scarface with Jorge Masvidal (okay not quite)

I wasn't going to write a weekly roundup tonight- until about an hour ago the only thing worth mentioning- aside a brilliant birthday (38, yikes)- was comedian Gary Delaney liking my Instagram comment about herbs

But just an hour or so ago, Jorge Masvidal- #4 welterweight in the UFC and recently crowned 'BMF'- dropped this on his Instagram.

What you're seeing here, for the uninitiated, is Masvidal suggesting the US government are claiming any death would be put down to COVID-19, even the fictional ones. The meme of course relates to the 1983 Al Pacino movie Scarface, in which Tony Montana (Pacino) fights to the top of the US cocaine trade, only to be toppled after refusing an order from his Venezuelan business partner Ales Sosa (Paul Shernar).

Imagine, if you will, Sosa's abject humiliation. After sending hundreds of henchmen to kill Tony- with one dude successfully shooting him, poetically, in the back- Sosa then finds the whole thing marked down to coronavirus.

Hence:

Masvidal obviously gets it.
