Meeting Gino D'Acampo
I turned up absurdly early for this lunchtime book signing, as advised, but I then had hours to wait before the queue even formed… So I sat on a Trafford Centre bench and read I Alone Can Fix It, the Tump expose by Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, 2 Washington Post hacks. It’s great, but I’ve got loads more to read.
I was close to the front of the queue, thankfully. Forgot to bring a face mask, so bought one, then found one in my bag, then we didn’t really need to wear one. Right. Well organised event by the Waterstones team and Gino seemed like a good lad.
