Glasgow: Day 1

For my 40th last July my parents treated me to a trip to Glasgow, including a trip to a city-centre distillery. We managed, eventually, to book this in for the end of March this year.

We decided to get an AirBnB, a trendy apartment just out of the centre, and a perfect base for seeing the city. Arriving Monday afternoon to a clear blue sky and mild temperatures, we each got a £4.20 subway day ticket to the very interesting, notably oval-shaped Gallery of Modern Art, featuring some Andy Warhol paintings, including his iconic Campbell’s Soup Cans.

For the evening meal: Cafe Andalouz for tapas. Recommended.
