For Christmas Day food prep my contribution is a chocolate dessert (bought in) and a box of home-made chewy cranberry and apricot bites from The Hairy Bikers’ Hairy Dieters Cookbook.
A reasonably simple recipe, this task saw only a few slip ups: the ingredients were each so small it was difficult to measure them out. I added extra maple syrup to use the whole small bottle, which meant cooking time needed extending. I then expected it to totally dry out once cooled, but I cooked this a couple of days ago and it’s still got a soft, chewy texture.
I wrote down the start time but forgot to write the end time. Standard.
I’ll blog again with the family’s judgement!
