Men's
support group Andy's Man Club Manchester had their first
Christmas meal on Wednesday night in the unique hipster restaurant
Roti in leafy Chorlton. Roti offers a
unique fusion of Indian, Mexican and British food.
Inside
the Barlow Moor road venue bare brick meets bright, vibrant murals
displaying intertwined Mancunian and Indian iconography. House and
electro swing compliment the trendy vibe.
We
paid £30 a head for a tapas-format buffet of tasty and unusual
offerings, including chicken, pork, nacho poppadoms and haggis and
turkey pakoras. The little crispy potato pieces, although possibly
the simplest of the offerings, were among the most delicious.
It
was great to finally go on a social outing with the Manchester AMC
group. As well as the meetings being a safe place to talk about any
problems you might have, it's also a place where friendships form and
other outings and ideas are conceived and planned. To be involved,
drop into Federation House, Federation St, Monday nights, 7pm.
